Most of GCT’s board meetings follow the same format: Once everyone has arrived the meeting is called to order. Next, the board goes over the previous month’s agenda through the secretary’s notes. After this the board opens the floor to the treasurer who discusses the current financial situation of the Theatre.

We then move on to “old business” such as wrapping up a finished production, continuing discussion on a current play, or reminding the board of upcoming events. Next the board moves on to “new business” where topics not previously discussed are brought up. Finally, the board finishes with “other business.” These are topics typically brought up by other members and outside parties, such as planning a cleaning day of our storage or planning for the season.
